PantryLens AI ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: email address, and if you sign up with Google or Apple, your name and profile photo associated with that account.
- Anonymous Usage: when you use the App without creating an account, we assign an anonymous identifier via Firebase Authentication so your data and subscription stay tied to your device. No personal information is required to use the App's core features.
- Profile Information: username, first and last name, date of birth, gender, dietary preferences, food allergies, weight, height, activity level, and goals — all provided voluntarily by you.
- Photos You Upload: images of your fridge or pantry that you scan are sent to Google's Gemini AI to identify ingredients and generate meal suggestions. We do not permanently store your scanned photos on our servers.
- Usage Data: scan history, saved meals, and meal logs you create within the app, stored in our database (Firebase Firestore) so your data persists between sessions.
- Analytics & Diagnostics: anonymized usage events and crash reports, collected automatically via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, to help us understand how the App is used and fix bugs.
